Expand Book your flight to land in East London or Port Elizabeth in South Africa. How will I get to Huntershilll from the airport? Expand We offer free shuttle services for all guests from the airport to any of our lodges. Is there an airport shuttle or taxi service? Expand If you prefer, there are taxis at the airport, or Uber driving services. I'd like to go shopping - is there a Lodge shuttle? Expand We offer shuttle services into the local town, and if there are none available, the PH will gladly help with transport. COVID FAQs What are South Africa's restrictions? Expand South Africa is at Alert Level 1. This means you are free to travel in and out of South Africa as long as you provide a clear PCR test. The following is still required: Face mask in public areas Isolation of those with Covid General measures to prevent the spread of Covid in public areas Can I get tested at the Airport? Expand All clients need to provide a PCR test 24 Hours before their departure out of the country. Testing is advised to be done at OR Thambo International Airport, therefore allow for minimum of 4 hours between domestic arrival and international departure. What if I test positive? Expand In the unlikely event that you test positive, Huntershill will provide quarantine facilities at our lodge in Limpopo Cherokee until you are cleared for travel. How safe is Huntershill Safaris? Expand We carefully sanitize our accommodation and common areas to ensure the spread of disease is minimized. Hunting Gear FAQs Can I bring my own gun / bow? Expand A few airlines allow you to travel with your own firearm into South Africa. Please check with your airline to confirm this. There are no regulations on bow, but please do check with your airline to be safe. I don't have gear. Can I hire hunting gear? Expand We have rifles you may use at the lodge if you do not wish to bring your own. Rifle hire is payed per bullet at $4 per round. Where will my hunting gear be stored? Expand We do laundry every day but the basics do apply: check your weather before hand so if there is wet conditions expected make sure you plan for two sets a gear. Otherwise on normal days our gear will be collected in the morning and 90% of the time will be on your bed when you get back from the days hunting. What if my gun / bow breaks? Expand We have replacement rifles in case of a malfunction. Unfortunately, we do not carry any extra parts for bows, but will try and accommodate as best we can if there are any issues.
